Origins GM’s
needed!
We need GM’s to
cover six Arkham Horror events at Origins, July 4th – 7th.
We’ll supply a copy of the game for your use, and mail you
a copy of the rulebook so you can familiarize yourself
with the game before the show. Volunteering gets you
invited to our Origins staff Death By Pizza Bash, and gets
you some CHAOSIUM SWAG at the end of the show. If you’re
planning to attend, and have some time to spare, drop us a
line! [email protected]
The Year is
half over, so it’s probably a good idea to remind everyone
of what we have cooking.
D20 Call of
Cthulhu Plans
While we’ve
gotten off to a slow start, we’re still planning to
release several d20 compatible Call of Cthulhu titles this
year. The first d20 release, our d20 Call of Cthulhu
Gamemaster’s Pack is at the printer now, and will
hopefully be available at Origins. We’ll follow up this
release with H.P. Lovecraft’s Dunwich (Dual Stat -see
below) and Pulp Cthulhu. We will of course continue to
support our d20 Call of Cthulhu line in 2003.
BRP/Classic
Call of Cthulhu Plans
We’ve got
several Call of Cthulhu books in the works, including H.P.
Lovecraft’s Dreamlands which is at the printer. Other
titles expected to release this year include H.P.
Lovecraft’s Dunwich (Dual Stat), Secrets of Japan,
Miskatonic University, and the Keeper’s Companion Vol. 2.
Rumor has it that there is a nearly completed San
Fransisco Guidebook manuscript in house. Reports that this
book has been cursed and will never be released are only
partially right. This book may make it out by the end of
the year, but my spiders tell me it’s likely an early 2003
release.
Call of
Cthulhu Fiction Plans
Our COC fiction
line should see five books by years end. We’re reprinting
our Encyclopedia Cthulhiana and printing a second edition
of the Necronomicon. New titles include the Tsathoggua
Cycle, Disciples of Cthulhu 2, and The White People and
Other Tales.
Young
Kingdoms Plans
Both our d20
Dragon Lords of Melnibone and Stormbringer lines need
reliable writers.. The books I can tell you about are the
d20 Cults of Law and Chaos (which we hope to release late
Fall/Early Winter) and a Young Kingdoms Bestiary for
Stormbringer. We have a couple of additional Young
Kingdom books in the works, but we’re reluctant to
announce anything until we have manuscripts in

Arkham
Horror
Alas, what can
we say about Arkham Horror. Given that the year is half
over, and we still have loads of book to print in 2002,
Arkham Horror has been delayed. We simply don’t want to
rush this one. Our plan is to release Arkham Horror early
next year, to get 2003 off to a roaring 20’s start. I
reckon we’ll still call it the 15th anniversary
edition.
Other
Goodies
There are couple
of little projects we’re working on for Gen Con. But
they’re a secret for now.We should have a Doctorate
Diploma available again by the end of the summer. We’re
considering printing up more of our Call of Cthulhu 20th
Anniversay T-shirt.
