Hi all! I’m the latest shmoe recruited for this gig. And to think it only cost my first born child. My name’s Jeremy, and I’ll be Content Editor for the RPG neck of the woods. I’ll be approving, beating people over the head for, and writing content for the RPG section. I look forward to the thronging masses at my doorsteps with their RPG materials. (Trollboy assures me that the thronging masses thing is figurative.)

Hello…and just a quick intro from me, as talking about myself is not on my list of favorite topics. My name is Chris, and I’ll be the new Content Manager on Shoggoth.net. I’ll help in reviewing submissions, looking for new contributors and writers, etc. I look forward to working with everyone who wants to pitch in to make this into the best Mythos site on the net!

Shoggoth.net is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Loveless to our staff! Chris will be handling content acquisition and midnight beer-runs 😉 Welcome aboard Chris!

As some of you may have noticed, Shoggoth.net was down from around 3pm yesterday to around 10am this morning. Wanna know why? Because my big fat clumbsy fingers wiped the entire database. All of it. And of course i had no backup handy. So I had to wait till the next morning till have the database restored from tape backup. Submissions and comments made May 2,3,4 may have been lost. Please re-submit if you entered an article during that time FYI: Backups are performed nightly now automatically and stored on 3 different servers, paranoid? Me? You better believe it bub.

Shoggoth.net and shoggoth.org will be going down tonight due to irregularities on our main web server. The Database powering this site will be backed up immediatly after this post and will be the data used to restore Shoggoth.net in case of database corruption.
