Happy Halloween!

This scenario is perfect for a single short session, dropped into an existing game as an
unexpected side quest. The investigators can become involved in a number of ways:
A) They can be hired to find a wealthy hunter, who’s gone missing in a wilderness area.
B) They can come upon a car wreck, where the passengers and driver are all dead, their
organs removed, and bloody deer tracks leading into the forest.
C) They can be hired to recover a sample of the strange fungus rumored to be in the area.
D) They can be looking into a series of mysterious attacks involving cabins being broken
into and their residents dragged out and devoured.
E) They can be hired to look into the strange lights and sounds in a remote area (Mi-go)

This can take place in a number of areas:
A) A National park
B) A lonely stretch of road through the mountains
C) A hunter’s cabin deep in the woods
D) An Indian reservation
E) A remote town on the edge of a thick forest where hunters gather

The investigators can meet:
A) Hikers who barely escaped an attack
B) Hunters who say they killed a strange deer, but when they hiked down to where they shot
it, it was gone.
C) Someone who was attacked and is now sick with the alien spores
D) Mi-Go agents pretending to be game wardens.
E) A park ranger, member of the tribal police, or a professional guide

The zombie deer is:
A) A massive adult stag (+5 HP)
B) Not Alone! (roll 1D3+1)
C) Foaming at the mouth! (bonus dice to all its attacks)
D) Horribly mutated (1/1D8 sanity check)
E) In cunning (80 INT, creates traps and uses complex strategy.

Weather/Time of the year:
A) Winter: Deep snow, dangerous roads, and freezing temperatures
B) Summer: High heat, biting insects, thick growth/cover
C) Autumn: Long nights, rustling leaves, rutting calls
D) Spring: Rain, washed out roads, mud and possible flooding
E) Hunting season: Trigger happy hunters, rutting season, game wardens
