I want to review you!

Here’s the deal: I drive a lot and therefore listen to a lot of audio books. So if you are an author who has used ACX.com to turn their book into an audio book, email davenport@shoggoth.net a coupon code for your audio book and I’ll review it here and on audible.

That easy.

Graduate-level fiction workshop for Lovecraftians!

Hello, all. This is Sean Hoade, Assistant Acquisitions Poobah here at Shoggoth.net. I wanted to let you know that a fiction workshop is going on that is focusing on tales of the macabre and even Lovecraftian (although any kind of fiction is welcome). Here’s my original call:

This is an Iowa-style graduate-level fiction workshop. It is being held in Las Vegas but anyone from anywhere can take part through live videoconferencing by Google Hangouts.

A Call for Art!

Howdy folks!
Our OctoberNomicon is going GREAT right now and I’m loving all the hard work and creativity our authors are putting in.   What would really help I think, is if we can have pictures of the creatures themselves to go with the article.  We got one for Bruce‘s Black Eyed Children, but we need more.

Are you artistic? Do you want to help out Shoggoth.net?  If so drop me an email at trollboy[at]shoggoth.net or through the site’s internal messaging and we’ll get some of your art up here.  If you’re reading this in the future, fear not!  Any article on this site could be jazzed up with some fine art!

We’re ALWAYS taking submissions.

Delta Green Has Shipped!

Greetings, Everyone!

The books are on the water and on their way! The main shipment will arrive in the month of December and should be fully available in January, as Customs and the Holidays shall have their way.

Advance Copies will be on their way as soon as they arrive!

We here at Eos apologize for the delays; we’ve restructured our printing facilities and it cost valuable time, but the upshot is that these problems won’t occur again in the future.

I’ll keep you all posted as I have news!

The Woes of Levinus Clarkson

I look back now on my early life as a faded pleasant dream, difficult to recall clearly. I remember my upbringing in England as a member of a wealthy family, born to certain privilege. I learned the pass times and manners of landed gentry and cared not for the troubles of a squalid populace. Hunting fox on horseback, teas on fine china in the parlor, and the latest fashions of London were my sincerest interests.

New Book Released

Arguably no fiction author has ever provided the inspiration for more music than has Howard Phillips Lovecraft. For the first time ever a book is available that explores the many musical tributes that have been paid to the author and his work.

The Crucifix

I stared at the crucifix on the wall with a mixture of horror and disgust. It stood about two feet tall, and the arms of the cross were about a foot wide. The wooden figure of the Savior on it was incredibly life-like…the skin a mottled tan, and res streaks of blood where the ugly nails were pounded into His hands and feet. The hole in His side actually had some depth to it, I noted…and it to was painted with reddish streaks dribbling down his scrawny torso. His crown of thorns was sharp; I knew if I touched one, it might prick my finger if I touched it hard enough. Blood dribbled over his face.

Lost Pages of the Octobernomicon 7/7: The Living Al Azif

The Living Al Azif, Lesser Servitor Race

“It was a rectangle of tawny, limp parchment, grained on the upper-side with scales, like the skin of some unfamiliar reptile. It turned it over, the other surface was smoother, with pore-like markings and lines of faint, rusty scribbling.” – Manly Wade Wellman, The Terrible Parchment.
